Mekel S. Miller graduated with honors from Albion College, and received her law degree cum laude from Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law in Washington DC, during which time she served as a research attorney for Fr. Raymond O’Brien, professor of family law, and as a law clerk for the Inspector General of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Prior to joining Abood Law Firm, Ms. Miller was the principal attorney at Commonwealth Law Group, PLC, practicing in family law, particularly complex custody matters and large estates. She is also an appellate attorney specializing in family law appeals and general civil appeals from the Circuit Court, and her probate experience is in estate settlement, guardian/conservator cases.

Ms. Miller is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and Oakland County Bar Association, Family Law Section, and is admitted to practice law in the State Courts of Michigan, and Federal Courts for both the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, and Bankruptcy Court.
